Jason Torpy on ChristianFighterPilot.com, Polite Religious Discourse

From Jason Torpy, perpetually-offended former Army atheist and current voice for the Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers, in response to the publicity surrounding recent articles on God and Country:

Jason Torpy exactly. a troll best ignored. if the topic can’t be found somewhere legitimate, then there’s no reason to talk about it.

Jason Torpy best not to repost this troll’s poison

It would seem Jason Torpy is partaking in a little ad hominem — if you can’t defend your message, personally attack your critic.

Torpy didn’t always have such a low view of this site. It seems he was stung a few years ago by the revelation here that he was misrepresenting DoD demographic data — a revelation that made it all the way to the halls of Congress.

Now Torpy seems to believe if you ignore the truth, perhaps it will go away.

While once he scoured the country for Christian crosses and other signs of religion over which to be offended, it seems Jason Torpy now visits Facebook pages pleading with people not to mention ChristianFighterPilot.com.

To be fair, he’s not alone in his calls for the “silent treatment.” Michael “Mikey” Weinstein’s ego is on full display as he routinely touts every web mention of his name or organization, even on obscure websites and personal blogs.  But for some reason, he never mentions ChristianFighterPilot.com — at least not since his threatened lawsuit was revealed for the empty threat it was several years ago.

Apparently, Weinstein thinks this site is so effective he’d rather people not know about it.

Too late.

  • Mr. Jason Torpy is very tough on social media, and writes fiction articles on his website (chaplains are atheists in foxholes), yet he will not publicly defend his position (collegial debate with me).

Mr. Torpy knows that in a debate, I will not need to prove God’s existence; he will. Mr. Torpy knows that God exists, but because he hates and rebels against God (John 3:19; 36), he suppresses the truth in anger, which is why he lambasts Christians on social media, and hides from debating publicly (with me). This shows the type of leader that he is, which is similar to Weinstein, in my opinion.

I will writing on article on this very soon.
