Military Christian Resource: Journal of Faith and War

Many things in the “blogosphere” or even in the news tend to be covered only in the most superficial way.  At times, for a Christian, even discussions from other Christians may not broach the depth or academic/theological rigor that may be desired.

A source that attempts to fill that void is the Journal of Faith and War, which has been referenced here before.  Both the Fall and Summer 2012 editions are available on the JFW website and cover a gamut of topics, writers, and perspectives.  Again, they bring the depth and rigor other sites may lack — which means the articles may be both well-researched and fairly long.

Interesting submissions include commentaries on religious freedom inspired by the Obama administration’s response to Benghazi, Os Guiness’ “A Time to Stand,” and the fascinating (but very long) “Beyond the Limits of Codified Morality: A Christian Military Ethic,” by a Royal Air Force College PhD.

There are many more worth reading if you have the time.
