RAdm Brent Scott Newest Navy Chief of Chaplains

Chaplain (RAdm) Brent Scott recently replaced the retiring Chaplain (RAdm) Margaret Kibben as the Chief of Chaplains for the US Navy.

Chaplain Scott had previously been the Deputy for the Chief, which also made him the lead chaplain for the US Marine Corps.

As noted in 2014 when he became the Marine’s chief chaplain, Chaplain Scott is apparently endorsed as a Full Gospel chaplain — likely making his elevation a thorn in Michael “Mikey” Weinstein’s side.

Though there doesn’t appear to have been an official news release, the Navy chaplaincy did post a Facebook status, and a video for the change of office ceremony can be viewed here.

  • Well congrats on the new Navy Chief of Chaplains. I would love to see the hackles go up on Mikey’s neck.
