Caleb Nimmo became the first American to fly the Soviet-export Mi-35 <em>Hind<\/em> on a combat mission.\u00a0 In what appears to be an eclectic career, the Major has also flown UH-1s, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/aircraft.htm#T-6\">T-6 <em>Texans<\/em><\/a>, and the MV-22 <em>Osprey<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.af.mil\/news\/story.asp?id=123204902\">official Air Force article<\/a>, the Air Force flies the Mi-35 as an &#8220;enemy&#8221; during <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/fighterpilotspeak.htm#Red_Flag\">Red Flag<\/a>.\u00a0 Nimmo learned to fly the Hind <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dvidshub.net\/?script=news\/news_show.php&amp;id=49758\">from a civilian contractor<\/a> in the US and received additional training with the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>US Air Force Maj.
