{"id":46313,"date":"2021-08-29T23:33:34","date_gmt":"2021-08-30T02:33:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/?p=46313"},"modified":"2021-08-29T23:35:56","modified_gmt":"2021-08-30T02:35:56","slug":"ed-asner-dies-at-91","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2021\/08\/29\/ed-asner-dies-at-91\/","title":{"rendered":"Ed Asner Dies at 91"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ed Asner, known to one generation for his work on Mary Tyler Moore and another for being the lead voice on Pixar\u2019s <em>Up!<\/em>, has died at the age of 91.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-46315\" src=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/weinstein_asner.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"329\" height=\"368\" srcset=\"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/weinstein_asner.jpg 329w, https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/weinstein_asner-268x300.jpg 268w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 329px) 100vw, 329px\" \/>It is sad, of course, to read of his passing, particularly given that Asner was almost certainly not a Christian, but that is the case for a great many notable deaths over the past few years.<\/p>\n<p>What <em>is<\/em> interesting, however, is that Asner is one of a few Hollywood names that Michael \u201cMikey\u201d Weinstein has paraded in press releases in support of his organization. Along with supporting the MRFF, Asner \u2013 who was described as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/entertainment\/celebrities\/2021\/08\/29\/emmy-winner-ed-asner-dies-lou-grant-elf-up\/4138015001\/\">devoutly and defiantly liberal<\/a>\u201d today in USA Today \u2013 also found it <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/2012\/12\/27\/mrff-supporters-investigate-911-reveal-christian-iran-plot\/\">hard to believe<\/a> that al Qaeda could <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8dVNDQWhtMc\">have been responsible<\/a> for the terrorist attacks of 9\/11.<\/p>\n<p>While Asner didn\u2019t say much publicly, he participated in MRFF fundraisers and likened Weinstein to a modern-day Martin Luther King, Jr., in a book blurb. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Weinstein has a history of eulogizing his famous supporters, and we\u2019ll likely see a statement to that effect soon.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-like\" data-share=\"true\" data-show-faces=\"true\" data-size=\"small\" data-action=\"like\" data-layout=\"standard\"><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><strong>ADVERTISEMENT<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><!-- blogpost --><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-ad-slot=\"2728423835\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6450825356098669\"><\/ins><script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});<\/script><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ed Asner, known to one generation for his work on Mary Tyler Moore and another for being the lead voice on Pixar\u2019s Up!, has died at the age of 91.
