{"id":45017,"date":"2020-01-08T16:52:27","date_gmt":"2020-01-08T19:52:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/?p=45017"},"modified":"2020-01-09T11:27:00","modified_gmt":"2020-01-09T14:27:00","slug":"pagan-us-soldiers-discharged-over-white-supremacy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2020\/01\/08\/pagan-us-soldiers-discharged-over-white-supremacy\/","title":{"rendered":"Pagan US Soldiers Discharged over White Supremacy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brandon Trent East of the Alabama National Guard and Dalton Woodward of the Georgia National Guard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2019\/dec\/26\/dalton-woodward-brandon-east-booted-national-guard\/\">were recently discharged<\/a> over their connections to white supremacist groups.<\/p>\n<p>Oddly, they were both supposedly pagans &#8212; <em>and<\/em> white supremacists:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Earlier in 2019, the Atlanta Antifacists group published a report saying East and Woodward were leaders of the Norse pagan group Ravensblood Kindred. The group is part of the Asatru Folk Assembly, which researchers say endorses white supremacy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>East said he had just been looking for an alternative to Christianity:\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The whole race thing started with me finding Asatru or Odinism or whatever you want to call it and seeing that as a better option than Christianity as a spirituality.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>SFC Benjamin Hopper &#8212; in the news recently for being allowed to wear a &#8220;pagan beard&#8221; &#8212; actually had to respond to <a href=\"https:\/\/lasvegassun.com\/news\/2020\/jan\/04\/norse-pagan-nevada-guardsman-insists-no-ties\/\">media inquiries<\/a> to confirm he was not, in fact, a white supremacist just because he was a pagan.<\/p>\n<p>So, some pagans in the US military believed their religion endorsed the supremacy of their skin color.<\/p>\n<p>A few Muslims in the US military were driven by their religion to attack their fellow troops.<\/p>\n<p>And yet, when it comes to religion in the US military, Michael &#8220;Mikey&#8221; Weinstein thinks <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/2019\/12\/19\/mikey-weinstein-shoots-the-moon-for-ebenezer-award\/\">raccoons in Santa hats<\/a> and &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/jesus-candy-on-military-base-violates-religious-freedom-group-claims\">Jesus candy<\/a>&#8221; are the problem.
