(That&#8217;s the office that handles programs so secretive they require even more clearances than usual &#8212; &#8220;special access.&#8221;)\u00a0 According to the Pentagon, Gen Dunlop <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stripes.com\/highest-ranking-female-air-force-fighter-pilot-fired-from-overseeing-top-secret-dod-programs-1.585570\">was removed<\/a> in response to an ongoing IG investigation. Anonymous sources quoted in the article indicated Gen Dunlop created a &#8220;toxic&#8221; leadership environment.<\/p>\n<p>Gen Dunlop was feted as the Air Force&#8217;s highest ranking female fighter pilot.<\/p>\n<p>This was a month after BrigGen Kristin Goodwin was <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/2019\/04\/30\/usafa-fires-the-commandant-of-cadets\/\">fired<\/a> from her position at the US Air Force Academy &#8212; <em>also<\/em> during an IG investigation apparently regarding her leadership style and treatment of subordinates.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, both BrigGen Goodwin and MajGen Dunlop recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.af.mil\/News\/Article-Display\/Article\/1792484\/fighter-pilot-embodies-captain-marvel-spirit\/\">took a photo<\/a> with <!--more-->BrigGen Leavitt during the build up to the release of the Captain Marvel movie, representing the highest ranking female pilots in the Air Force:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-45970\" src=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/threestarsmarvel.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"780\" height=\"558\" srcset=\"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/threestarsmarvel.png 780w, https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/threestarsmarvel-300x215.png 300w, https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/threestarsmarvel-768x549.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px\" \/>For her part, BrigGen Leavitt was recently nominated for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airforcetimes.com\/news\/your-air-force\/2019\/04\/03\/brig-gen-leavitt-first-female-fighter-pilot-among-23-nominated-for-second-star\/\">second star<\/a>.
