Again."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-46025\" src=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/booker.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"880\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/booker.jpg 880w, https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/booker-300x95.jpg 300w, https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/booker-768x244.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 880px) 100vw, 880px\" \/>During a judicial confirmation hearing, Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) asked nominee Neomi Rao what her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianpost.com\/news\/cory-booker-asks-trump-judicial-nominee-if-she-believes-gay-relationships-are-a-sin.html\">religious beliefs were<\/a> regarding sexuality [emphasis added]:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Booker asked Rao&#8230;whether she personally thinks gay relationships are \u201cimmoral.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rao&#8230;pushed back, saying she didn\u2019t think that line of questioning was relevant.<\/p>\n<p>But Booker responded: \u201cI think that [it is] relevant, your opinion if you think that African-American relationships are immoral, do you think gay relationships are immoral? Do you personally believe that gay relationships are immoral?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After reluctantly responding that <!--more-->she did not think gay relationships were immoral, <strong>Booker followed up by asking if Rao thought gay relationships were a \u201csin.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSenator, my personal views on any of these subjects are things that I would put to one side and I would faithfully follow [the precedence of the Supreme Court],\u201d Rao, the 45-year-old attorney, explained.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is not the first time Booker has appeared to impose a religious test on nominees.
