While writing a recent diatribe on a rather meaningless topic, Michael “Mikey” Weinstein included this gem, saying:<\/p>\n

Frank Gaffney<\/strong> is another insane conspiracy theorist who hallucinates about a massive magnitude of militant Islamists<\/strong> that are ready to seize control of the United States and impose a violent, backwards theocracy on all the good Christians.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Projection, hypocrisy, irony — you pick. For those that don’t see it, consider changing just the bold terms in Weinstein’s artful sentence:<\/p>\n

Mikey Weinstein<\/strong> is another insane conspiracy theorist who hallucinates about a massive magnitude of militant Christians<\/strong> that are ready to seize control of the United States and impose a violent, backwards theocracy on all the good people<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Just change four words out of 37.\u00a0 And its true<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Remember, Mikey Weinstein claims a “massive magnitude” of Christians (38 million, to be precise<\/a>) is trying to “seize control” of the US government (by way of the military<\/a>) and impose a Christian theocracy<\/a> that will result in “oceans of blood”\u00a0— and “it starts with Jewish blood.”<\/p>\n

In\u00a0criticizing an “insane conspiracy theorist,” he’s just described himself<\/em>.<\/p>\n

But wait, there’s more!<\/p>\n

Gaffney and the “Center for Security Policy” denigrate Muslims to the status of vermin, a parasite to be eradicated (sound familiar?) while taking on the very characteristics of the brutal, inhuman horde they pretend to be against.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To wit:<\/p>\n

Weinstein and his “Military Religious Freedom Foundation” denigrate Christians to the status of rotting swine<\/a>, a cancer<\/a> to be eradicated<\/a> (sound familiar?) while taking on the very characteristics of the brutal, inhuman horde they pretend to be against.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

How can one be so blind to the hypocrisy?<\/p>\n

Finally:<\/p>\n

Denigration<\/strong> and loathing of outsiders are the false clarion calls of these vicious deceivers, who always scapegoat<\/strong> and project <\/strong>their own hideousness onto a fictitious enemy<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It reads\u00a0like a Mikey Weinstein autobiography.<\/p>\n

Others have noticed the same thing.\u00a0 Over at This Ain’t Hell<\/a>, Dave Hardin (no friend of Frank Gaffney) notes<\/p>\n

Gaffney and Weinstein do not seem to realize they too suffer from the same type of disease.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One thing Mikey Weinstein is not<\/strong> is “self-aware.”\u00a0\u00a0He probably wrote that meandering monologue with a straight face. Or maybe the smirk face. It’s hard to tell.<\/p>\n
