\"\"Massachusetts Rep. Joseph Kennedy invited<\/a> US Army SSgt King — once known as Peter and now called Patricia — to be his guest at President Trump’s State of the Union address:<\/p>\n

[Kennedy] told the paper that he invited King to remind the president of transgender service members’ dedication to the U.S.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want her to be there as a real person, and the face of an inhumane policy,\u201d Kennedy said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Lots of people are “dedicat[ed]” to the US, and it is asinine to say it is “inhumane” to not be allowed to serve in the US military. To do so denigrates many<\/em> Americans who would like to serve their country in the US military but, like King, are told they cannot do so.<\/p>\n

Worse is the fact SSgt King is explicitly being used as a partisan political prop<\/a> — despite US military regulations forbidding such associations. Given the social direction, however, it is unlikely anything will come of it.<\/p>\n

More disturbing, however, is the state of society in which a man flaunts and demands social acceptance for presenting himself as a woman — to the point of having the US military pay for the elective surgery to change his external appearance.\u00a0 King has publicly celebrated being the first to have the US military pay for surgery to look like a woman.<\/p>\n

King famously said he was not a “bad Christian”<\/a> for “being transgender” — and he subsequently found a church that would support him in that belief. The church even allowed him to teach Sunday School — where, presumably, he stood as an example of a self-proclaimed Christ-follower living in unrepentant rejection of Christ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With that in mind,\u00a0Dr. Al Mohler has said:<\/p>\n

Despising the body to the point of repudiating birth gender is a posture in direct conflict with the Bible…<\/p>\n

The answer to this must be the embrace of birth gender as a central dimension of God\u2019s will for the individual. Christians must understand that gender \u2013the sex of an individual \u2014 is a part of God\u2019s glory in creation…The transgender temptation is a repudiation of God\u2019s own verdict on His creation and His plan for humanity.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To put it another way, who is correct in the assessment of Truth?<\/p>\n
