March Air Reserve Base hosted Santa — but he was there only for the “holiday<\/a>.” Fort Riley hosted Operation Santa Claus<\/a> — and “Christmas” was only mentioned once, as the last word in the press release.<\/p>\n

Soldiers of the 130th Engineering Brigade Command Team participated in a “Christmas ruck” to “celebrate Christmas and get everybody in a good mood<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

The 1st Infantry Division Band performed a “holiday” concert<\/a> which did include “traditional” Christmas songs, though the press release, for some reason, doesn’t mention them — noting instead that the band played “old classics like \u201cSomeday at Christmas\u201d by Stevie Wonder to big rock orchestra songs like \u201cChristmas Eve\/Sarajevo\u201d by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.”<\/p>\n
