The event was attended by Vice President Pence:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Pence referred to Dobson as &#8220;his mentor.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You&#8217;ve done more for faith and freedom in your lifetime &#8230; than any one person could do in ten lifetimes,&#8221; he told the conservative leader.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Not only is your country grateful, but I say with confidence, great is your reward. You&#8217;ve made an eternal difference in the lives of millions.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dr. Dobson also received <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/the-press-office\/2017\/06\/08\/remarks-president-trump-faith-and-freedom-coalitions-road-majority\">praise from President Trump<\/a>, who congratulated <!--more-->Dobson personally and indicated why faith and freedom were so important and connected:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Liberty comes from our Creator.
