Their goal? Help these senior leaders<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for how faith can improve the everyday lives of Airmen, increase resiliency and contribute to mission effectiveness.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The mission is admirable and notable because the military so infrequently notes the <strong>virtues<\/strong> of the faith of its troops &#8212; something this program explicitly does [emphasis added]:\u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The research behind Faith Works suggests that spirituality <strong>and religion play an important role<\/strong> in improving health in every domain of comprehensive Airman fitness.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>AFCENT Command Chaplain (Col) Randy Kitchens also noted the key link between religious liberty and the mission [emphasis added]:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFaith Works is good for all,\u201d said Chaplain Kitchens. \u201c<strong>It\u2019s facilitating the freedom of religion <\/strong>and in doing so,<strong> that will help the Air Force fly, fight and win<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Even better, Chaplain Kitchens has buy-in from the 386th AEW commander [emphasis added]:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI am excited about what Faith Works is going to do for the Air Force,\u201d said Col. Charles D.
