She becomes only the second DoD appointee under President Trump to successfully take office, coming just after the second nominee for the Secretary of the Army, Mark Green, withdrew last week.<\/p>\n<p>Even Wilson&#8217;s relatively easy confirmation <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/2017\/01\/24\/president-trump-nominates-heather-wilson-for-secretary-of-the-air-force\/\">was delayed<\/a>, with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.military.com\/daily-news\/2017\/05\/08\/heather-wilson-confirmed-as-new-air-force-secretary.html\">some reports indicating<\/a> an &#8220;unnamed Senator&#8221; had put a hold on her confirmation.
