{"id":40459,"date":"2017-04-05T00:30:26","date_gmt":"2017-04-05T03:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/?p=40459"},"modified":"2017-04-05T02:47:46","modified_gmt":"2017-04-05T05:47:46","slug":"bgen-kristin-goodwin-public-statement-on-sexuality","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2017\/04\/05\/bgen-kristin-goodwin-public-statement-on-sexuality\/","title":{"rendered":"BGen Kristin Goodwin Public Statement on Sexuality"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-40307 size-medium alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/kristingoodwin93-240x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/kristingoodwin93-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/kristingoodwin93.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/>Contrary to the misrepresentations of a few critics, the <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/2017\/03\/27\/bgen-kristin-goodwin-and-the-usafa-honor-code\/\">previous article<\/a>\u00a0that mentioned Col Kristin Goodwin simply\u00a0asked\u00a0a rhetorical <em>question<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0It was also\u00a0an explicitly <em>academic<\/em> question &#8212; given\u00a0that, as it plainly said,\u00a0any answer would ultimately be irrelevant.<\/p>\n<p>Most people understood the greater (and explicitly stated) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usafa.edu\/academic\/philosophy\/\">philosophical<\/a>, academic, and moral points of the article that, as it plainly said, spoke to <em>general<\/em> cultural and social norms &#8212; save for\u00a0some who seemed to have\u00a0read it with predisposed prejudices about the Christian faith.<\/p>\n<p>That said, US Air Force BGen(S) Kristin Goodwin has apparently &#8220;authorized&#8221; a statement of sorts regarding her sexuality. The statement came through Michael &#8220;Mikey&#8221; Weinstein&#8217;s Military Religious Freedom Foundation, not through the Air Force: <!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>MRFF is authorized to advise you that&#8230;Brig Gen (Sel) Goodwin&#8230;did not become aware of her sexual orientation until well after DADT went into effect.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>More interesting\u00a0is the fact the statement appears to have come about due to a relationship with an MRFF board member:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>One of [MRFF&#8217;s] board members, Edie Disler, LtCol, USAF (ret), has been in personal contact with Brig Gen (Sel) Goodwin&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Disler &#8212; herself a homosexual activist and former USAFA instructor who was sanctioned for her conduct in class &#8212; has a colorful <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/2010\/11\/17\/usafa-faculty-underwriting-attacks-on-usafa\/\">history with USAFA and Mikey Weinstein<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The apparent association of the incoming USAFA Commandant of Cadets with Mikey Weinstein could portend a potential end to the state of &#8220;war&#8221; between Weinstein and USAFA (a war <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/2010\/09\/20\/bat-signal-busted-weinstein-declares-war-back-on\/\">declared unilaterally by Weinstein<\/a>, that is, when he lost access to USAFA leadership). Could be interesting.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+8:32\">John 8:32<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Jesus said to him, \u201cI am the way, and the truth, and the life.
