{"id":40214,"date":"2017-03-13T00:20:00","date_gmt":"2017-03-13T03:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/?p=40214"},"modified":"2017-03-13T01:05:23","modified_gmt":"2017-03-13T04:05:23","slug":"usmc-commandant-on-respect-gender-sexual-preference-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2017\/03\/13\/usmc-commandant-on-respect-gender-sexual-preference-video\/","title":{"rendered":"USMC Commandant on Respect, Gender, Sexual Preference (Video)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-40216\" src=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/neller2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"880\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/neller2.jpg 880w, https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/neller2-300x95.jpg 300w, https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/neller2-768x244.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 880px) 100vw, 880px\" \/>Commandant of the Marine Corps General Robert Neller <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ScI9eu9PqCg\">released a video<\/a> addressing the social media &#8220;nude photo scandal&#8221; saying, among other things, that those who participated or were aware but did not report it were &#8220;not true warriors.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He also said [emphasis added]:\u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Our <strong>Corps does not care<\/strong> where you <strong>come from<\/strong>, whether you&#8217;re <strong>rich or poor<\/strong>, or whether you&#8217;re a <strong>man or woman<\/strong>, what your <strong>sexual preference<\/strong> may be, only that you have the discipline, drive, and commitment to be a US Marine&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s an interesting list of focus areas. First, it is notable because the term &#8220;sexual preference&#8221; is supposedly pejorative (as it implies homosexuals, etc., &#8220;prefer&#8221; or have a choice, vice are &#8220;born this way&#8221;). Second, realize this is the four-star General in charge of the entire US Marine Corps, and of the four characteristics he cited, two were associated with sex\/gender.<\/p>\n<p>Assuming &#8220;where you come from&#8221; implied family lineage, there was only one notable omission: religion.
