\"rose3\"The homosexual community has vaunted the service of US Air Force MajGen Patricia “Trish” Rose, even presenting her with an award<\/a> for being the “highest ranking openly LGBT service member in the US military.”<\/p>\n

Still, members of the homosexual community likely know there are actually higher<\/em> ranking individuals who are homosexual, though they’re not “open” — at least not officially.<\/p>\n

\"anon3\"In fact, someone who outranks MajGen Rose recently took their new position in the military — and their homosexuality is apparently an open secret. This became an issue because lower level commanders were tripping over themselves directing their subordinates to mind their p’s and q’s regarding homosexuality — comments they most specifically addressed toward their chaplains.<\/p>\n

Understandably, this made a couple of chaplains bristle, as the sexual practices of a military officer should have no bearing on either the religious rights of US troops or the ability of those troops’ chaplains to minister in accordance with their faiths.<\/p>\n

Michael “Mikey” Weinstein has previously taken issue with commanders who introduced themselves as Christians or publicly announcing their lives are influenced by God<\/a>. Occasionally, Weinstein will even claim members of the military cry out — literally — in fear of these officers who dare to so much as mention<\/em> their religious beliefs.<\/p>\n

Yet when a commander or other superior officer’s assumption of authority is led off by a discussion on their homosexuality, it is almost viewed as normal — or even necessary.<\/p>\n

In other words, it seems some are more concerned about a commander mentioning his religious faith than they are a General officer’s subordinate commanders spreading the message throughout the unit about the General’s preferred sexual practices.<\/p>\n

Once again, it seems sex trumps religion<\/a> — despite the fact only the latter is a recognized human liberty protected from government interference by the US Constitution.<\/p>\n
