As a symbol, having an openly gay military leader means something, said George Hotaling, 29, a gay former Army officer who volunteered at the rally.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s absolutely huge. To have someone who is that high-ranking, it normalizes it<\/strong>,\u201d said Hotaling, who is married to an active-duty Navy officer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The US military has developed an interesting dichotomy between sexual expression and religious expression. Consider this:<\/p>\n
High-ranking members of the US military can tell the entire world they identify themselves by the fact\u00a0they\u00a0have sex with members of their own gender…<\/p>\n
…but an Air Force Academy cadet can’t write a Bible verse on a white board<\/a> next to the room he lives in.<\/p>\n
US troops who object to sexual immorality can appear to be equated with racists and bigots<\/a>…<\/p>\n
…but a Bible on a table<\/a> is so offensive it must be banned.<\/p>\n
The US military will kowtow to Michael “Mikey” Weinstein’s demands that we stop using the name “crusaders,”<\/a> because it might hurt the feelings of our Islamic enemies — who haven’t said a thing about it…<\/p>\n
…Meanwhile, the US military publishes pictures of troops all over the world celebrating homosexuality<\/a> — something that bothers our Islamic enemies so much they toss suspected<\/em> homosexuals off roofs.<\/p>\n
The “gay former Army officer” quoted above took reassurance in having a high-ranking member of the military “normalize” homosexuality.\u00a0 Ironically, if you let a high-ranking member of the military “normalize” Christianity, he’d be lucky<\/em> if he was only lambasted in the media<\/a> and investigated by the DoD<\/a>.\u00a0 Think\u00a0seeing such public treatment\u00a0within the military has an impact on the “Christian Army officers” and others like them?<\/p>\n
Somehow, in this fractured, backwards world, Satan has managed to convince people that any inkling<\/em> of belief in God is actually more objectionable, more offensive, and more dangerous<\/em> than the promotion<\/em> of homosexuality.<\/p>\n
What a fallen world we live in.<\/p>\n
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature<\/strong>; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another<\/strong>, men committing shameless acts with men<\/strong> and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.<\/p>\n
And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God\u2019s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
