{"id":34239,"date":"2015-12-22T00:45:01","date_gmt":"2015-12-22T03:45:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/?p=34239"},"modified":"2016-11-24T22:21:46","modified_gmt":"2016-11-25T01:21:46","slug":"mikey-weinstein-aims-for-christmas-villain-hat-trick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2015\/12\/22\/mikey-weinstein-aims-for-christmas-villain-hat-trick\/","title":{"rendered":"Mikey Weinstein Aims for Christmas Villain Hat-Trick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In what is becoming an annual tradition, Michael &#8220;Mikey&#8221; Weinstein and his self-founded &#8220;charity,&#8221; the oddly-named Military Religious Freedom Foundation, have been nominated for or have won recurring Christmas-villain awards for his attacks on military religious freedom.<\/p>\n<p>Weinstein &#8220;won&#8221; the <strong>Liberty Institute&#8217;s Scrooge Award<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.libertyinstitute.org\/2014scroogeawards\">in 2014<\/a>, after he was nominated for his infamous &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/2014\/03\/12\/usafa-defends-cadets-against-mikey-weinstein-sort-of\/\">cadet whiteboard<\/a>&#8221; attack, in which he aimed his invective at a US Air Force Academy cadet who had the gall to write a Bible verse on a dry erase board. Weinstein has been nominated again this year for his attack on, again, US Air Force Academy cadets &#8212; this time, members of the football team who choose to <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/2015\/12\/07\/usafa-cadets-defy-mikey-weinstein-pray-in-end-zone-before-game\/\">take a knee prior to their games<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>MRFF supporters are aware of the <a href=\"https:\/\/libertyinstitute.org\/2015scroogeawards#Top\">voting for Liberty Institute&#8217;s award<\/a> and are trying to shoot the moon, apparently thinking that being viewed as a rich, crass, stone-hearted cynic is a good thing.<\/p>\n<p>After missing out last year, Mikey Weinstein&#8217;s MRFF has been nominated for <!--more-->the 2015 <strong>Becket Fund for Religious Liberty&#8217;s<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.becketfund.org\/ebenezeraward2015\/\">Ebenezer Award<\/a> for his interference with Airmen volunteering with Samaritan Purse&#8217;s Operation Christmas Child. The Becket Fund included a Grinch-inspired graphic to illustrate Weinstein&#8217;s accusation that OCC was a &#8220;radioactive wrecking-ball of surpassing hazard [<em>sic<\/em>]&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/grinchball.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"462\" height=\"270\" \/>Actually, it turns out there are only two such Christmas villain awards. To complete the hat-trick, Weinstein should also be nominated for <strong>the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Santa_Claus_Is_Comin%27_to_Town_(film)\">Burgermeister Meisterburger<\/a> award<\/strong>.
