Clinton Wermers, is now <a href=\"http:\/\/www.navytimes.com\/news\/2010\/01\/navy_pilot_trainer_crash_012510w\/\">presumed dead<\/a>.\u00a0 The student was rescued the night of the crash and has not yet been identified.\u00a0 Initial reports had indicated that both pilots were holding on to the wreckage before it sank.<\/p>\n<p>A comment left on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2010\/US\/01\/25\/louisiana.pilot.search\/index.html?hpt=T2\">CNN article on this story<\/a> indicated that Wermers was a married father of two, and was expecting a third child.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/aircraft.htm#T-34\">T-34C<\/a> is a Navy primary training aircraft used to teach new student pilots.\u00a0 The two-seat, single engine aircraft\u00a0does not have ejection seats, but requires aircrew to manually bail out in emergencies.\u00a0 The T-34C is slated to be replaced by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/aircraft.htm#T-6\">T-6A <em>Texan II<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The US Navy has indicated that the instructor pilot from the crashed T-34C training aircraft, Lt.
