{"id":3129,"date":"2010-01-14T00:30:51","date_gmt":"2010-01-14T08:30:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/?p=3129"},"modified":"2010-01-13T21:47:24","modified_gmt":"2010-01-14T05:47:24","slug":"academies-among-100-best-value-colleges-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2010\/01\/14\/academies-among-100-best-value-colleges-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"Academies Among 100 &#8220;Best Value Colleges&#8221; 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As noted at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.af.mil\/news\/story.asp?id=123185308\">AF.mil<\/a>, the US military academies (Air Force, Navy, Army, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine) were\u00a0ranked in the &#8220;top 100&#8221; Best Value Colleges by the Princeton Review\/USA Today (<a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2009\/01\/08\/military-academies-among-100-best-value-colleges\/\">again, see 2009<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The military academies, which combine both military and academic training, are government-funded and built around their missions.\u00a0 As a result, they are no-cost, have low student\/teacher ratios, and provide some of the best educational opportunities in the US.<\/p>\n<p>As quoted in the Air Force article, The Princeton Review said<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If you can make it through this four-year gauntlet, though, an Air Force diploma is an awesome credential.
