On Sunday, Stephen Losey of the Air Force Times finally picked up the story (which led on their website), writing that the Air Force had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airforcetimes.com\/story\/military\/pentagon\/2015\/02\/08\/air-force-reserve-command-release-on-mission-trip-will-stay-up\/22973581\/\">found nothing wrong<\/a> with the article and let it stand:<a href=\"http:\/\/www.airforcetimes.com\/story\/military\/pentagon\/2015\/02\/08\/air-force-reserve-command-release-on-mission-trip-will-stay-up\/22973581\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-30961\" src=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/aftimesgallo.png\" alt=\"aftimesgallo\" width=\"505\" height=\"379\" srcset=\"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/aftimesgallo.png 721w, https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/aftimesgallo-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/aftimesgallo-624x468.png 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 505px) 100vw, 505px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>AFRC spokesman Philip Rhodes said the review was finished earlier [last] week, and the release will not be taken down. &#8220;We vetted the question about the story through Air Force legal and chaplain corps, and all agreed that the story is appropriate as it is displayed,&#8221; Rhodes said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This statement, which was apparently <!--more-->only\u00a0the result of a media inquiry, seems to consitute the entire public Air Force response to Weinstein&#8217;s invective.\u00a0 Left unanswered is why an Air Force news release has to be vetted &#8220;through Air Force legal and chaplain corps&#8221; just because Mikey Weinstein complained.<\/p>\n<p>Losey notes Weinstein &#8220;declined to comment.&#8221; The normally loquacious and media hungry Weinstein has apparently blacklisted the Military Times after its <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2014\/07\/03\/report-mikey-weinstein-cashing-in-using-charity\/\">expos\u00e9 on his salary<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-like\" data-share=\"true\" data-show-faces=\"true\" data-size=\"small\" data-action=\"like\" data-layout=\"standard\"><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><strong>ADVERTISEMENT<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><!-- blogpost --><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-ad-slot=\"2728423835\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6450825356098669\"><\/ins><script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});<\/script><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday it was noted here that no media outlet had covered the Air Force response to Michael &#8220;Mikey&#8221; Weinstein&#8217;s complaint about an article on a Christian Airman.
