Update<\/strong><\/span>: A variety of groups signed a letter to the Navy asking them to allow the Bibles<\/a> to remain in the Navy lodges.<\/p>\n

Riding the coattails of the Freedom From Religion Foundation<\/a>, Michael “Mikey” Weinstein has threatened to sue the US Navy<\/a> if it fails to remove Bibles from its lodging rooms:<\/p>\n

If the Navy refuses to pull the Bibles \u201cout of every single room,\u201d said Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, \u201cwe are looking to file a federal lawsuit.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For the record, Weinstein threatens to sue someone at every turn.\u00a0 It is likely this threat is as empty as virtually all the others.\u00a0 (He lost the few lawsuits<\/a> he filed many years ago, further undermining his threats.)<\/p>\n

Weinstein’s apparent paranoia was on full display:\u00a0 <\/p>\n

If every room had a Quran, or the Book of Mormon, he said, \u201cwe both know there would be blood in the streets.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Weinstein thinks Christians are trying to take over the world in order to instigate a second Holocaust<\/a>, so his vitriol and hatred isn’t surprising. He probably can’t explain the lack of “blood in the streets” outside the establishments that do<\/em> have those books in every room.<\/p>\n
