{"id":28654,"date":"2014-03-20T00:21:47","date_gmt":"2014-03-20T03:21:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/?p=28654"},"modified":"2016-09-26T12:07:17","modified_gmt":"2016-09-26T15:07:17","slug":"flashback-us-army-ignores-weinstein-he-goes-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2014\/03\/20\/flashback-us-army-ignores-weinstein-he-goes-away\/","title":{"rendered":"Flashback: US Army Ignores Weinstein, He Goes Away"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/carsonsm.gif\" width=\"102\" height=\"106\" \/>In light of the recent accusations that the US Air Force has been kowtowing to the whims of Michael &#8220;Mikey&#8221; Weinstein, its worth recalling what happens when the military <em>doesn&#8217;t<\/em> grant Weinstein special deference:<\/p>\n<p>In 2010, Michael &#8220;Mikey&#8221; Weinstein demanded that the Fort Carson hospital change its insignia because it <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2010\/04\/29\/weinstein-reveals-vendetta-in-demanding-removal-of-cross\/\">contained a cross<\/a> and<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>violate[s] the constitutional requirement for separation of church and state and should be removed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He met with Fort Carson&#8217;s commander &#8212; who told him to pound sand. Weinstein <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/16\/weinstein-threatens-another-suit-over-military-symbols\/\">threatened to sue<\/a>. The Army said <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/30\/us-army-unmoved-by-weinstein-threat\/\">they didn&#8217;t care<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Guess what happened?<\/p>\n<p><em>Nothing<\/em>. Absolutely nothing.<\/p>\n<p>The Fort Carson patch <a href=\"http:\/\/evans.amedd.army.mil\/\">remains the same<\/a> as it ever was. The Army <!--more-->lost no credibility with its troops, nor did Weinstein gain notoriety because of undue influence over the military.\u00a0 Congress didn&#8217;t call for an investigation, amendments weren&#8217;t added to the NDAA, and no one gained a &#8220;perception&#8221; that there was religious persecution in the US Army.<\/p>\n<p>Weinstein is all bark and no bite. He thrives on publicity, and his ego is built upon his\u00a0 perceptions of his self-importance. Deny him a platform, and he is toothless.<\/p>\n<p>Ignore him.
