The pilot is reportedly hospitalized in critical condition, with local news reports saying he was having trouble breathing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/article\/20140115\/NEWS\/301150026\">when the fisherman recovered him<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The pilot (or aviator, in Navy parlance) was ultimately <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stripes.com\/news\/navy\/navy-pilot-hurt-after-ejecting-from-f-18-jet-over-ocean-1.262281\">picked up by an MH-60<\/a> &#8212; from the same squadron that suffered a helicopter loss the week prior.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Super Hornet<\/em> was assigned to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vfa143.navy.mil\/\">&#8220;Pukin&#8217; Dogs&#8221; of VFA-143<\/a> out of Oceana Naval Air Station.
