{"id":25425,"date":"2013-09-16T00:30:37","date_gmt":"2013-09-16T03:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/?p=25425"},"modified":"2016-11-26T00:49:00","modified_gmt":"2016-11-26T03:49:00","slug":"airmen-serve-on-mission-trip-to-honduras","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2013\/09\/16\/airmen-serve-on-mission-trip-to-honduras\/","title":{"rendered":"Airmen Serve on Mission Trip to Honduras"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two Security Forces Airmen, Senior Airmen Joe Potalivo and Nicholas Gahm, recently volunteered to <a href=\"http:\/\/csmng.com\/2013\/09\/05\/50-sfs-airmen-visit-honduras-change-lives\/\">go on a mission trip to Honduras<\/a> with their church, Radiant Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Their main objective&#8230;was to help build three, large, brick buildings, that once completed, would house more than 100 orphans. They did a little of everything, from erecting insulation to constructing a perimeter security.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While work was the order of the day, there was another component they may not have anticipated:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cEvery day we would come to work, many of the village children would be there waiting on us, greeting us with smiles and <!--more-->handshakes as we got out of the van,\u201d Gahm said. \u201cThe glow that shined on their faces was astonishing. These children, ranging from 3 to 11 years old, had nothing but the clothes on their backs, yet they were the happiest little kids I have ever met.
