Los Angeles Air Force Base officially hosted three individuals dressed in drag during a “diversity day”<\/a> musical performance.<\/p>\n

The performance sparked outrage among some airmen who called the performance \u201ctotally offensive and inappropriate…”<\/p>\n

The airman said it was ironic that the Air Force is cracking down on Christians being able to openly share their faith but they would allow individuals to dress in drag.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Air Force defended the act as “historical:”<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cDrag queen acts are historically one of the main forms of entertainment in the LGBT culture, having its roots in the earliest of days of the gay rights movement,\u201d [PA Peggy] Hodge said in a written statement.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ironically, even homosexual activist groups acknowledge<\/a> that cross-dressing (ie, “drag”) would likely violate military regulations due to its relation to the “T” in LGBT.\u00a0 Transgendered individuals are prohibited from military service, though they regularly\u00a0test the waters<\/a> to see if they can coattail on the repeal of DADT allowing homosexuals to serve openly.<\/p>\n

An Airman’s offense was enough for the Air Force to pull a chaplain’s article<\/a> in Alaska, though religious liberty ultimately prevailed<\/a>.\u00a0 An Airman’s offense was not enough to overcome a drag queen act, though it isn’t constitutionally-protected.<\/p>\n
