{"id":2442,"date":"2009-12-01T00:35:36","date_gmt":"2009-12-01T08:35:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/?p=2442"},"modified":"2009-11-30T21:23:51","modified_gmt":"2009-12-01T05:23:51","slug":"navy-sailors-punished-for-academic-cheating","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2009\/12\/01\/navy-sailors-punished-for-academic-cheating\/","title":{"rendered":"Navy Sailors Punished for Academic Cheating"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Navy Times reports that the US Navy has disciplined 13 sailors for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.navytimes.com\/news\/2009\/11\/navy_truman_112309w\/\">cheating during a written nuclear propulsion test<\/a> on board the carrier USS <em>Harry S Truman<\/em>.\u00a0 The reports do not explain what the sailors did, except to say they were using notes; it is possible that the notes were <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2007\/03\/01\/the-ethics-of-gouge\/\">test gouge<\/a>, especially since the Navy subsequently made <em>all<\/em> the sailors re-take the test.<\/p>\n<p>Retired Capt.
