Brent Crosswhite, a US Army Chaplain from Fort Hood, is deployed to Iraq, but still managed to team up with his wife to help strengthen Soldiers&#8217; marriages.<\/p>\n<p>The Chaplain is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.army.mil\/-news\/2009\/11\/09\/30096-chaplain-works-to-strengthen-marriages\/\">holding a marriage class in Iraq<\/a> while his wife leads an identical one for spouses at Fort Hood.\u00a0 The husbands and wives cover the same materials, and at the end of each session there is a video teleconference with the other class.\u00a0 One of the goals is to mitigate the 20 to 30 divorces that the average Army brigade <!--more-->is experiencing during a deployment.<\/p>\n<p>The original Army news article was released prior to the Fort Hood massacre.\u00a0 While Iraq is relatively tame by recent standards, the new stresses of uncertainties at home can continue to strain relationships already experiencing separation.<\/p>\n<p>Remember to pray for our deployed military members, and for their families at home, that they will stay faithful to one another and continue to grow in unity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chaplain (Capt.)
