slip by without reporting it.\u00a0 After checking the White House &#8220;We the People&#8221; petition website (to view the White House beer recipe), an astute reporter noticed that the White House had responded to a petition to pull Rush Limbaugh off AFN, the worldwide DoD radio and TV broadcast system.\u00a0 That is, the White House responded in <em>July<\/em>.\u00a0 From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.navytimes.com\/news\/2012\/09\/military-rush-limbaugh-american-forces-network-white-house-090412w\/\">the AFTimes<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[The petition] threshold for a reply was 25,000 people \u2014 a level reached in April \u2014 but the reply wasn\u2019t posted until July and got scant <!--more-->attention until Friday, when the White House released a beer recipe in response to another petition that had a mere 12,240 signatures.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Putting aside\u00a0the reporter&#8217;s insinuation about the apparent political importance of the beer recipe &#8212;\u00a0while\u00a0the reporter was reading the site, do you think he noticed the <strong><em>other <\/em><\/strong>petition?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/petitions.whitehouse.gov\/petition\/end-military%E2%80%99s-discrimination-against-non-religious-service-members\/jcfr6fWt\">End the Military\u2019s Discrimination against Non-Religious Service Members<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The petition was created by former MRFF &#8220;client&#8221; and US Army SGT Dustin Chalker.\u00a0 It broke 10,000 signatures two weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>In just a few weeks, that petition will be a <em>year<\/em> old.\u00a0 As viewed on the White House site, it appears to have only two petitions older (by a few days).<\/p>\n<p>The petition itself was <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2011\/10\/31\/mrff-petition-garners-signatures-for-white-house\/\">discussed last year<\/a>, and generated a heated response from <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2011\/11\/07\/military-atheists-respond-dustin-chalker-and-the-facts\/\">Chalker and his allies<\/a> at the MRFF (more or less).\u00a0 As noted at the time, the petition called discrimination against atheists a &#8220;threat[] to national security.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s played out pretty clearly in the past year, hasn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Air Force Times recently admitted to letting the &#8220;news&#8221;
