Chris Lislee has written an article entitled “Debate reignites over religion at Air Force Academy<\/a>” (now picked up at the Washington Post<\/em><\/a>) in which he fails to realize his examples had nothing to do with <\/em>USAFA, never mind “reigniting” something:<\/p>\n

The two sides recently clashed over a letter from 66 House Republicans urging Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to investigate the USAF\u2019s growing \u201chostility toward religious freedom\u201d under guidelines set last September by USAF Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The letter to which the RNS refers was discussed last month<\/a>, and only one of five points was a reference to USAFA (in regard to Operation Christmas Child<\/a>). The letter, and the “controversy,” if there is one, is with the Air Force, not the Air Force Academy.<\/p>\n

But because the article brings up — and then focuses on — the virtually unrelated Air Force Academy, it presents an opportunity to give a voice to David Mullin<\/a>, the Weinstein ally<\/a> and former economics professor who was fired after multiple “marginal” performance evaluations. He couldn’t possibly have an axe to grind<\/a>, could he?<\/p>\n

The “debate” doesn’t reignite anything, though Lislee’s citation of old information may.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
