The US Air Force was previously taken to task by Congress<\/a> when it removed the Latin word for “god”<\/a> from the Rapid Capabilities Office patch — because an atheist complained.\u00a0 (In fact, Rep Randy Forbes went so far as to say Air Force Chief of Staff General Norton Schwartz “has been as bad as I have seen\u2026in defending religious liberties.”<\/p>\n

It seems the Air Force solved the patch problem:\u00a0 The RCO patch is no longer on the unit’s website<\/a>.\u00a0 The site was “updated” two days after Congressman Forbes publicized his letter demanding the Air Force explain its reasoning for bending to the atheists’ demands.<\/p>\n
