&#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/23\/gazette-chronicles-weinstein-method\/\">because he wants attention<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;When he goes a little overboard, we talk about it,&#8221; [Bonnie Weinstein] said. &#8220;But people don&#8217;t realize that going overboard is what\u2019s getting the attention.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In theory, Weinstein&#8217;s claims of ubiquitous persecution would result in droves of US military members beating down his door for help.\u00a0 In fact, the opposite is true &#8212; in 2007 Weinstein even had to <em>advertise <\/em>to find someone\u00a0to complain:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/mrffad.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"456\" height=\"309\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Without such a pawn, <!--more-->Weinstein knew he would have no standing to file a lawsuit &#8212; which was likely his intent all along.<\/p>\n<p>(While he now claims around 27,000 &#8220;clients,&#8221; he also admitted his &#8220;clients&#8221; are an undefined group of whomever he <em>says <\/em>they are.)<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, so many people are clamoring for his services Weinstein has also taken to advertising with Google Adwords.\u00a0 The fact that his charity needs to advertise in such a way isn&#8217;t altogether unusual; many organizations do.\u00a0 The one-line blurbs he chooses, however, are interesting insights into the perspective he has on his mission:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/m2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"423\" height=\"61\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/m9.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"60\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Watch our video &#8211; something even Weinstein&#8217;s researcher Chris Rodda, no friend to religious freedom herself, admits is &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2009\/11\/20\/mrff-chaplains-sermons-permissible-sort-of\/\">permissible<\/a>.&#8221;\u00a0 Apparently, Christians exercising their Constitutionally-protected religious liberties are the\u00a0&#8220;American Taliban&#8221; against whom Weinstein is waging &#8220;war.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/m5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"406\" height=\"60\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some are a bit comical:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/m7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"123\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Others are more targeted:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/m10.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"122\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And some are just obscure:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/m8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"414\" height=\"60\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Advertising in this way is an interesting choice, particularly since most of those search terms are unique\u00a0enough that Weinstein&#8217;s site comes up in the top search results anyway, making the ads redundant, with one or two notable exceptions.\u00a0 Of course, Weinstein only pays if someone actually clicks on the ads.<\/p>\n<p>It is notable that these advertisements don&#8217;t point to his home website.\u00a0 They lead to a separate landing page for fundraising.\u00a0 Then again, for Michael Weinstein, <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2009\/09\/23\/non-profits-fundraising-and-support-our-troops\/\">money is<\/a> what <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2012\/02\/09\/michael-weinstein-cuts-pay-now-under-half-of-charitys-revenue\/\">its all about<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s long been known that Michael Weinstein is starved for attention in a way unique for a man his age.\u00a0 His zealotry for his cause is so consuming, in fact, there are times even his wife has said he has gone &#8220;overboard&#8221;
