While at Camp Lemonnier, he&#8230;shared ideas with other chaplains and spoke with U.S. service members.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The program was the brainchild of US Navy Chaplain (Capt) Jon Cutler, a Jewish chaplain who <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2011\/11\/23\/chaplains-demonstrate-religious-freedom-to-african-nation\/\">so far has had a Roman Catholic<\/a> and Muslim chaplain from Kenya visit.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAs Christians, Muslims and Jews, we all come from the common ground of Abraham and our belief in the one God,\u201d Cutler said. \u201cThat is what we ultimately share.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The chaplain program is having a strong impact on the relationship between the militaries of Kenya and the US, an influence that will likely be a positive foundation for future endeavors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anglican Chaplain (LtCol) Harry Ndirangu, Kenyan Ministry of State for Defense, was invited to preach to US forces at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, as part of an ongoing chaplain interaction program.
