{"id":14665,"date":"2011-12-20T02:10:43","date_gmt":"2011-12-20T05:10:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/?p=14665"},"modified":"2013-10-27T22:31:41","modified_gmt":"2013-10-28T01:31:41","slug":"defense-bill-may-garner-chaplain-medal-of-honor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2011\/12\/20\/defense-bill-may-garner-chaplain-medal-of-honor\/","title":{"rendered":"Defense Bill May Garner Chaplain Medal of Honor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Everyone already knows\u00a0versions of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 remove the <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2011\/12\/05\/senate-defense-bill-adds-marriage-removes-sodomy-rules\/\">prohibitions on sodomy and bestiality<\/a>\u00a0(since <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stripes.com\/news\/language-banning-sodomy-bestiality-to-stay-in-ucmj-1.163380\">reinstated<\/a>), have amendments on <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2011\/07\/11\/houses-passes-defense-bill-with-homosexual-marriage-restriction\/\">homosexual marriage<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2011\/12\/12\/moral-confusion-sexual-behavior-and-the-redefinition-of-rape\/\">redefine rape<\/a>.\u00a0 It&#8217;s also known President Obama originally vowed to veto it over language on detainee treatment.<\/p>\n<p>In yet another section of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airforcetimes.com\/news\/2011\/12\/ap-military-defense-bill-passes-senate-121511\/\">now-passed bill<\/a>, an amendment by Senators Pat Roberts and Jerry Moran of Kansas <a href=\"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2011\/02\/28\/congress-seeks-medal-of-honor-for-chaplain\/\">successfully<\/a> inserted language that would <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kake.com\/news\/headlines\/Defense_Bill_Could_Award_Kapaun_Medal_Of_Honor_134929913.html\">award the Medal of Honor to Chaplain (Capt) Emil Kapaun<\/a>. (The House version had an identical amendment by Rep.
