Their conduct is unbecoming of future Air Force officers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If Public Affairs was reporting the official position that their &#8220;conduct is unbecoming,&#8221; that&#8217;s one thing.\u00a0 But their statement that they&#8217;d <em>only then <\/em>notified their commanders indicated it was a personal judgment, not an official position.\u00a0 Other surprised <!--more-->responses encouraged them to backpedal:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/twitter2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"534\" height=\"83\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Granted, &#8220;conduct unbecoming&#8221; is a strong term, and we&#8217;re not looking to say USAFA is a no-fun zone &#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Later:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/twitter3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"535\" height=\"102\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Are Airmen going to respect Lt. Smith after they see him in boxers?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And finally:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christianfighterpilot.com\/images\/twitter4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A cadet generally wouldn&#8217;t face disenrollment for something like this. A Form 10? Possibly. Depends on the AOC.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In the final retreat,\u00a0the tweets now appear to have been deleted.<\/p>\n<p>In short, it seems PA got a little ahead of themselves.\u00a0 Public Affairs doesn&#8217;t make such decisions or policies; they merely communicate them.\u00a0 As other &#8220;viewers&#8221; pointed out, members of the military have been making mock videos for years, and the military has had a fairly hands-off or permissive attitude toward them.<\/p>\n<p>Absent any obviously crossed lines or conduct that might bring discredit upon the military &#8212; which this cadet video did not appear to have\u00a0&#8212; the videos have not only been allowed, they&#8217;ve sometimes become viral sensations.\u00a0 The American public seems to have a fairly high tolerance for seeing members of the US military blowing off steam in a comedic video.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/uI1Qp3n2sEI\">Beat You Gently<\/a> is pretty decent, by the way.<\/p>\n<p><em>Documentation: The cadets produced those videos&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The official USAFA Twitter feed was alerted to the presence of US Air Force Academy cadets from CS-38 parodying cadet life the song &#8220;Sexy and I Know It&#8221; on YouTube.\u00a0 Their response was fairly strongly worded: We&#8217;ve seen it, and we&#8217;ve notified their commanders.
