{"id":13591,"date":"2011-10-12T00:18:32","date_gmt":"2011-10-12T05:18:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/?p=13591"},"modified":"2011-10-12T00:18:32","modified_gmt":"2011-10-12T05:18:32","slug":"courageous-actor-has-air-force-academy-in-mind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christianfighterpilot.com\/blog\/2011\/10\/12\/courageous-actor-has-air-force-academy-in-mind\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Courageous&#8221; Actor has Air Force Academy in Mind"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week Sherwood Pictures&#8217; <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.courageousthemovie.com\/\">Courageous<\/a> <\/em>opened as the number one new film in America.\u00a0 The church-produced film, operating on a $1 million budget, brought in more than $8 million in its opening weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The outstanding movie is about 5 men, four on a local police force, striving to be better fathers.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Kendrick, the main force behind this film and Sherwood&#8217;s <!--more-->prior <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Fireproof-Blu-ray-Kirk-Cameron\/dp\/B001HN68ZU\/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1318218914&amp;sr=8-2\">Fireproof<\/a><\/em>, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Facing-Giants-Blu-ray-Alex-Kendrick\/dp\/B002EYLOE6\/ref=pd_cp_mov_1\">Facing the Giants<\/a><\/em>, and <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Flywheel-Directors-Rosetta-Harris-Armstrong\/dp\/B000VECADK\/ref=pd_cp_mov_3\">Flywheel<\/a><\/em>, stars as Adam Mitchell.\u00a0 His son, Dylan Mitchell, is played by Rusty Martin, Jr.<\/p>\n<p>Martin, Jr., is currently a sophomore, but he&#8217;s started <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bpnews.net\/bpnews.asp?id=36290\">thinking about college<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>He&#8217;s not sure about college yet but is considering the Air Force Academy in Colorado. He&#8217;s waiting to see what God&#8217;s will is for his life.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There isn&#8217;t much in the way of drama at the Air Force Academy (at least not in the classes offered in the curriculum), but even to be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.academyadmissions.com\/\">considering USAFA<\/a> as a sophomore is a significant step.\u00a0 Though he seems to want to see how his acting efforts play out, were he to attend USAFA he might be the first <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wakechristianacademy.com\/\">Wake Christian Academy<\/a> graduate to do so.<\/p>\n<p>If his interviews and personal efforts are an indicator, he might have the potential to develop into a fine officer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week Sherwood Pictures&#8217; Courageous opened as the number one new film in America.\u00a0 The church-produced film, operating on a $1 million budget, brought in more than $8 million in its opening weekend.
