The accused Frankfurt airport shooter<\/a>, Arid Uka, has reportedly told the court in Germany that he did kill US Airmen Nicholas Alden and Zachary Cuddeback<\/a>.\u00a0 But he doesn’t understand<\/a>.<\/p>\n

[Uka said] he regrets shooting dead two US airmen and wounding two more at Frankfurt airport in March, and does not understand why he did it.<\/p>\n

[He] told the court he was influenced by Islamist “lies and propaganda that blinded me”.

\n“What I did was wrong, but I cannot undo what I did,” Uka said at the opening of his trial on Wednesday.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A hang up in his confession was his refusal to provide the source of the weapon he used.\u00a0 Uka’s attack was hardly the only effort against US forces in the past few years<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, there have been about a half-dozen other jihadist plots that were either thwarted or failed — including a 2007 plan to kill Americans at the U.S. Air Force’s Ramstein Air Base.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
