Damien Christopher, were in the unit\u2019s ready room during an August 2009 all-officer review of squadron call signs, when Crowston was offered choices such as \u201cFagmeister,\u201d \u201cGay Boy\u201d and the group\u2019s final choice, \u201cRomo\u2019s Bitch\u201d \u2014 a reference to the quarterback of Crowston\u2019s favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Crowston was the squadron\u2019s administrative\/legal officer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Crowston is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.navytimes.com\/news\/2011\/04\/navy-crowston-callsign-harassment-042811w\/\">demanding an apology<\/a> for the experience:\u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThere\u2019s nothing that says an apology can\u2019t happen,\u201d said Crowston&#8230;\u201cI think someone in this Navy chain of command does owe me an apology.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Crowston has reportedly requested an &#8220;Admiral&#8217;s Mast&#8221; with Admiral John Harvey to obtain the apology and the results of his prior Inspector General complaints.\u00a0 He may have to wait awhile:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It remains to be seen whether Harvey will grant Crowston\u2019s request for mast, much less issue an apology on behalf of the Navy. [Fleet Judge Advocate CAPT Steve] Barney told Crowston that the command \u201chas no authority to direct that the officers provide you an apology.
