The band\u2019s leader\u2019s name was J\u00e9sus. That\u2019s \u201cHEY-soos,\u201d with an accent mark over the e. Every-one loved J\u00e9sus and hoped he could return for our second annual party the next year. By the time spring came around, however, there had been a rash of deportations in Pensacola, and J\u00e9sus was not answering my many phone calls. We feared <!--more-->he had left the country. Co-workers in Dustin\u2019s squadron wanted to know, \u201cWill J\u00e9sus be at the party this year?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then finally, Dustin ran into J\u00e9sus at Walmart. So he sent a mass e-mail to his command. It read:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI know there has been some concern that Jesus might have left the country, but a late-night sighting in the produce department at Walmart confirms that Jesus is alive and well, and in the USA.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Oops! Dustin forgot the accent mark over the e.<\/p>\n<p>Dustin\u2019s new boss, who had not been at the previous year\u2019s party, was not aware that Dustin meant J\u00e9sus, leader of a Mariachi band.
