The National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB allowed a charity to install collection boxes to receive donated gloves to benefit the local community.

The collection boxes had posters on them with Bible verses.

The US Navy posted a fascinating story about Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae, the only US Naval installation on Asia’s mainland, as its chapel program began live-streaming services to help serve Sailors, Marines, and their families posted to Korea:

Mikey Weinstein Exhausts Vast Vocabulary

If this site relied on clickbait, the headline would continue “…and then he said THIS.”

Michael “Mikey” Weinstein is widely mocked for his writing style, even within his own group. His rampant use of ellipses and his odd use of font size/color often give Weinstein’s messages a hint of teenage angst. In addition, Weinstein’s diatribes contain so many adjectives — sometimes added to a draft document started by someone else — that his own staff has pejoratively called them “Mikey’s Mad Libs.”

Weinstein has never been short of words — he was even called “Motor Mouth” as a cadet at the Air Force Academy. Sometimes it seems as though he must write with a thesaurus at his side so he can fill in the white space of his rants.

Recently, however, his words failed him.

Chris Rodda Attacks Military Chaplains for Being Chaplains

In her writing, Michael “Mikey” Weinstein’s research assistant Chris Rodda has often struggled with both the truth and the ability to convey a clear, coherent, and supported argument — all while under pressure from her sort-of boss to make it sensational enough that people will read it.

Late in December, she tried to overcome those shortcomings in a piece at the Huffington Post.

Mikey Weinstein FOIA Lawsuit to be Heard Today

Today Michael “Mikey” Weinstein’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the US Air Force Academy is scheduled for a settlement hearing.

Of all the legal actions he’s filed in recent years, it is the one he has the most likelihood of seeing some success in and, to a degree, that success would be warranted.

Weinstein has asserted that years ago he filed a FOIA that has largely gone unanswered from an unresponsive FOIA office at USAFA. He is generally correct when he asserts the regulations regarding FOIA requests, including, for example, the fact FOIAs are supposed to be answered within 20 days.

LtGen Kwast: Don’t Be Afraid of Court-Martial

LtGen Steven Kwast, commander and President of the US Air Force’s Air University, recently encouraged Airmen to not “be afraid” of being a “Mitchell, Doolittle, or Arnold.” (The article was coincidentally published at nearly the same time Michael “Mikey” Weinstein called for LtGen Kwast’s “aggressive punishment.”) Speaking to the challenges of lower manning and high operations tempo, LtGen Kwast said [emphasis added]:

Harassed by Mikey Weinstein, Part 7: You’re Being Watched

Michael “Mikey” Weinstein has demonstrated an obsession with ChristianFighterPilot.com — at least, insomuch as he wants to lodge complaints about this site mere minutes after content is published.

Presumably, the time he spends monitoring this site is part of the reason Mikey Weinstein has paid himself nearly $1.95 million to date from the donations his charity receives. It turns out, though, that he’s not the only one he drags into rapid-response.

It seems Mikey Weinstein has had his lawyer, Randy Mathis, on speed-dial. On 30 August 2011, an article was posted here entitled “Military Atheists Miss the Mark with Chaplain “Humor”“. The article discussed the “first act” of then-US Army Sergeant Justin Griffith, who had just become “military director” for American Atheists.

For his opening volley, Griffith had chosen to denigrate US military chaplains and their service — and sacrifice — to their country. The article rebutted his claims — noting, for example, that multiple chaplains had received the Medal of Honor.

Religious Troops: Is God First in Your Life? Then Get Out.

Military troops of faith — Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and others — have long served in the US military. They have done so with honor and distinction, earning the highest accolades and making the highest sacrifices.

And former Army officer Sue Fulton thinks they shouldn’t be allowed to serve in the military at all.

As discussed by Sonny Hernandez, in an interview with the New York Times Fulton was aghast that military chaplains have the gall to claim their God is greater than their government — and they should therefore not be in the military:

Some chaplains argue: ‘My first responsibility is to God.’ Well, if your responsibility is to God and not the Army, you need to get out of the Army.

Hernandez accurately summarized Fulton’s intolerant and ultimately unconstitutional advocacy:

[When] Fulton argues that chaplains should get out of the military if God is first in their lives, she is establishing a religion over theirs…She is [saying] the Constitution only works one way, and that the Defense Department’s policy on pluralism is extended only to those with convictions are agreeable to hers.
