Fighter Pilot Prayer: The Lord is My Crew Chief
As attributed to BrigGen Cecil Richardson, current USAF Chief of Chaplains:
The Lord is my Crew Chief; I shall not be broken.
He maketh me to undergo routine maintenance; he leadeth me beside the quiet hangars.
He storeth my components; he leadeth me in the paths of scheduled maintenance for Quality Assurance sake.
Yea, though I “live in fame or go down in flame,” I will remain fully mission capable; for my crew chief is with me; his toolbox and his supply management, they comfort me.
The Lord prepareth a depot before me in the presence of his maintainers; he anointeth my engines with oil; my power generation overfloweth.
Surely clear skies and strong tail winds shall follow me all the sorties of my life; and I will park in the hangar of the Lord…forever.
AMEN
