Army Brigade Preps with Prayers, Pancakes

A Hawaii-based Army brigade prepared for their upcoming deployment to Afghanistan with a Prayer and Pancake breakfast attended by more than 150:

“This breakfast is a chance for us to reflect on our unity as a brigade before we leave for deployment,” said Lt. Col. Greg Wagnon, deputy commanding officer for the brigade, during the opening for the service.

The article notes the prayer breakfasts have become a tradition for the unit as one part of the Army’s efforts to support the resilience of its troops.
