The Vice Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Mark Ferguson will be the “key note speaker” at the annual conference for the Jewish Welfare Board in April:

The theme of training will be Jewish Chaplains and Lay Leaders: Spiritual Resilience in Times of Transition. These courses will include distinct training tracks for chaplains and lay leaders.

Similarly, the US Army’s Deputy Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Howard B. Bromberg recently attended the annual Aleph conference on similar topics.

It is admirable that the military values the religious freedom of its troops so much that it supports such training seminars with the attendance of members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
