Chaplains Provide Unique Support, Exemplify Duty
A US Army article details the support of Army chaplains to families and Soldiers as they deploy and return home. Check out the name of the chaplain:
“We help strengthen family relationships,” said Maj. Billy Graham, 101st CAB chaplain. “We conduct the ‘Strong Bonds’ retreats for married soldiers and hold events for single soldiers as well. We help single soldiers see what healthy relationships look like.”
Also, a US Marine Corps article tells the story of Navy Chaplain (Lt) Mike Beasley, a chaplain who “exemplifies duty to God, country, and Corps.”
The combat environment brings an array of stresses to those deployed, from feelings of uncertainty to issues back home. Marines and sailors…have someone they can turn to when they need help or just need an attentive ear.
