Soldier’s Sacrifice Inspires Chaplain’s Service

Military chaplains were assigned to coordinate the memorial services and to help the family as they grieved. During a rehearsal, one of the Reserve chaplains approached Cheney and asked him to consider joining the military as a chaplain…

After more research and a lot of prayer, the couple decided together that active [duty] was the way to go.

Chaplain Cheney is now deployed to Afghanistan, serving — and inspiring — the Soldiers whose sacrifice inspires others.
