Military Christian Fellowship-Australia Hosts “Faith Under Fire”
MCF-Australia will be hosting the “Faith under Fire” seminar in September of this year:
Faith Under Fire will encourage and equip Defence personnel to increase their faith and prepare them to overcome physical and spiritual attacks in the line of fire. To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see. Historically, faith has strengthened the resolve of armed forces to achieve extraordinary results under the most trying of circumstances.
One of their speakers includes LtGen David Hurley, Vice Chief of the Defence Force and “patron” of Military Christian Fellowship. Gen Hurley is the second in command of the entire Australian military, and undoubtedly serves as an inspiration to those under him for his military successes even as a man of faith.
MCF is a descendant of the British-based Officers’ Christian Union, which is also the parent organization of Officers’ Christian Fellowship, which ministers to the American military.
LTGEN Hurley was promoted to GEN Hurley and Chief of the Defence Force in Australia on 4 Jul 11. He continues to be the MCF Patron in Australia.
