The US Air Force will mark 17 December 2010 as the 107th anniversary of the Wright brothers’ successful heavier-than-air powered flight.

While the flight occurred at Kitty Hawk, NC, a ceremony will be held at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio.  The Wrights were from Dayton and did much of their pre-flight experimentation and planning in Ohio.
