Defense Department Investigates DADT Survey Leak
A day after the Family Research Council called for an investigation, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates reportedly ordered an inquiry into the “leak” of results from the Comprehensive Working Group’s report on the potential impact of repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”
From the DoD release on the topic:
[Secretary] Gates is “very concerned and extremely disappointed” that unnamed sources selectively revealed aspects of [CRWG’s] draft findings… “presumably to shape perceptions of the report prior to its release.”
“Anonymous sources now risk undermining the integrity of this process,” [Press Secretary Geoff Morrell] said.
The report is to be delivered to Secretary Gates December 1st. There is no announced public release.
