According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, a color guard of military veterans in their dress uniforms led the city’s homosexual pride parade on Sunday — an act that violates Department of Defense regulations.  Previously, the Gazette said

More Airmen Request DADT Discharges

According to the Stars and Stripes, three more members of the US Air Force have requested discharge due to their homosexuality:

According to the Air Force, during the past month two female staff sergeants and a male 2nd lieutenant made statements identifying themselves as gay and asked to be separated quickly from the service.

While these discharges were once non-events, they are now front page news because of their rarity and the fact the Secretary of the Air Force has to approve them.

As with the other recent case, the article indicates these Airmen wanted to be discharged, and to be discharged quickly, before the repeal of DADT.  While homosexual advocacy groups have made much of the “victimization” Read more

Choi to Rejoin Military Despite Mental, Political Issues

Former Army Lt Dan Choi announced in the Huffington Post that he intended to rejoin the military service now that DADT has been repealed.  Homosexuality aside, Choi may have other issues to overcome before the military will let him in.

Choi, originally promoted to “Mr.” below-the-zone for being homosexual, reportedly admitted to being “involuntarily committed” to a psychiatric ward due to Read more

Civilian Dan Choi Protests in Uniform, Again

According to news reports, former Army Lt Dan Choi (once again) chained himself to the White House perimeter fence, resulting in arrest by the park police.  Rather than walking away in cuffs, he apparently chose to “go limp.”  Last time Choi did the same thing he was actually still an officer in the Army.

Choi was discharged last summer under DADT, and he recently tried to re-enlist during the 8-day injunction of the law banning homosexuals from serving in the military.

The next time Choi tries to sign up with the military, it should show him the door, regardless of the status of DADT.  He apparently lacks the strength of character to Read more

US Military to Accept Homosexual Applicants

According to an official release, the Department of Defense explicitly stated that openly homosexual men and women may now join the American military.  Notably, recruiters didn’t ask about sexual preference to begin with; however, the recent court ruling has apparently caused a spate of attempts to re-enlist by those previously discharged under DADT.  These “self-admitting” homosexuals apparently include former Army LT David Choi, among others.  The military is reportedly permitting homosexual applicants, while simultaneously cautioning them they may later be discharged if the ruling is overturned.

“Recruiters are reminded to set the applicants’ expectations by informing them that a reversal in the court’s decision of the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ law/policy may occur,” Cynthia Smith said.

Yesterday, the judge denied the government’s request to stay her injunction.
